When was the last time you did something for the first time?

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Yes, when? I saw this sentence on a wall, a couple of days ago, and have been musing on it ever since. Maybe it’s time to begin again to do things for the first time.

Accidentally clicking send.

"Borough Wines does not accept responsibility for: good times, bad times, chainsaw accidents, guilt, regrets, self pity, crying at 4 am, whining, bad fashion choices. Promises, broken promises, broken windows, broken limbs. Unplanned tattoos, piercings and babies. Loss of memory, keys and libido. Strangers on your sofa (What’s your name again?). Missing pets, missing your last train, waking up at West Ruislip, and Epping… and West Ruislip. Again. Encounters with lamp posts. Accidentally clicking send".

Accidental poetry at the market: Borough Market in London, where I’ve read (and photographed with my iPhone, too lazy to copy them down) these words. Poetry on a rainy day, between flowers, sausages and potatoes (another kind of poetry). And another accidental poetry: clicking, by accident, send.

There are clothes which keep rejuvenating themselves instead of getting worn out.

"There are clothes which keep rejuvenating themselves instead of getting worn out"
(Roberto Juarroz)
There are clothes which are meant forever. The magic of the wardrobe.

You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? That’s where I’ll always love you.

"You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? That’s where I’ll always love you. That’s where I’ll be waiting".

Can I quote from a fairy tale? Yes, if it’s Tinkerbell talking to Peter Pan. Yes, because that magic place between sleep and awake is the place of dreams and suspended desires.

Yes, I write. Yes, I believe in the magic of words. That’s why you’ll find me here, every Friday: Lisa “globish”!

I believe in the magic of words, and I believe Piazza Unità in Trieste, where I was born, is the most romantic square in the world. (And yes, it’s in Italy, proudly facing the sea). I love roses in every form. And, of course, I do love my blog, expecially now that I can carry it around on my iPhone.
